Beorning

beorning icon

The beorning is the store exclusive class you need turbine points to unlock. Instead of power, have to build up your wrath to use some of your bear skills. With the roar traiting, they have group buffs and good healing. A good melee single target dpser in the claw line. A real bear to 1v1 in the moors.

Available as the Beorning race only.

Burglar

The Burglar is a multifaceted class, able to dps, debuff, and cc. It is one that requires focusing on the whole battle, as you will reapply debuffs and cc, watch immunities for stuns and stay behind your target for positional dps benefits. Starting Fellowship Maneuvers at critical times is invaluable for groups. One of the easiest PVMP classes to rank.

Found among the races of Hobbit and Man.

Captain

captain icon

The Captain class is highly sought for groups. With multiple buffs, and group heals, they are the support class. You must react to the battle, knowing what defeat response to use, and watch your group's morale. They are able to heal through most 3mans and some 6mans. A captain in pvmp is not strong on their own, but paired with dps'er, the duo will wreak havoc.

Available on the Man race only.

Champion

champion icon

The Champion is the top melee damage class with the best aoe damage. A decent tank and aggro holder, they can tank many group instances. Their interrupts, aoe dps and debuffs are crucial to many raids. The class has some great survivability skills. An easy class to solo with early on. A threat in pvmp that is hard to take down.

Guardian

guardian icon

The Guardian is the tank class of lotro. It alone has multiple aggro skills, and a couple of emergency/boost skills that make it the best tank for almost all raid and group content. A couple of skills also will start conjunctions for the group. Using Overpower stance and traiting gives you more dps and snares or crits from behind, when you do not need to tank. The durability and survival skills make this class strong in pvmp, able to 1v1 effectively.

Found among the races of Elf, Dwarf, Hobbit, and Man.

Hunter

The Hunter is the best sustained ranged dps class. With the addition of some snare, root, and fear skills, the hunter can remove the need of an offtank in a lot of battles. Aggro management is key to being a good hunter in groups/raids. Building focus for strong attacks requires little or no movement. Tracking, Stealth, and ranged damage make this class excellent for pvmp.

Found among the races of Elf, Dwarf, Hobbit, and Man.

Loremaster

loremaster icon

The Loremaster is the hardest class in lotro to play well. You must be an alert player, as you will need to watch for cc breaks, wound removal on group, do emergency heals, distribute power, and deal with your pet. They are required for many raids. The high damage tactical AoE and multiple cc skills make it a good pvmper.

Found among the races of Elf and Man.

Minstrel

minstrel icon

The Minstrel is the primary healing class in lotro. You can buff the group and increase their damage output or resists. Dissonance traits enables minstrel to produce high burst dps, but limits their healing. Still as Death, and Hammerhand skills help you survive certain death. Currently the most OP class in the moors.

Found among the races of Elf, Dwarf, Hobbit, and Man.

Runekeeper

runekeeper icon

The Runekeeper can switch between a great healer, or a high dps caster. As dps, they can use direct damage or dots lines that put out heavy damage. As a healer, they can put out more healing than anyone, it just takes time to build it up. Very vulnerable though with few emergency skills, and takes a lot of coin to switch traits from healing to dps. Good in pvmp as a mobile tactical class.

Found among the races of Elf and Dwarf.

Warden

warden icon

The Warden is a mix of a tank and dpser. This is the strongest soloer in the game. Can switch between melee and ranged dps, or can tank well using avoidance and self heals, rather than heavy armor. Players need strategy on which gambits to use, and which trait line to slot. A decent pvmp class, with ranged attacks, bleeds, and durability.

Available on race of Elf, Hobbit, and Man.
